Greg Murks joined PGBC as Pastor in November of 2011. He is a native of Alabama and a graduate of the University of North Alabama (BA 1989) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDIV 1995).  Before coming to PG, Greg served as a minister of students in Florida and as pastor in South Carolina and Alabama.  Greg and his wife Anna were married in 1993 and have two children (Kathryn and Haylee).  As a pastor, Greg has a deep passion for preaching and teaching God’s word and loving people.  He desires to lead the people of Pecan Grove Baptist to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ by growing in their love for God, for others and for the world.  Greg’s vision for PGBC can be summarized by this prayer found in Psalm 67:1-2, “May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face shine upon us, that Your ways may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations”.  In addition to the more important pursuits listed above, Greg is an avid fan of history, sports in general, and the Alabama Crimson Tide specifically.  During free moments he will most likely be found with his “girls,”  meaning his wife, two daughters, and dog (Happy). His entire family considers themselves extremely blessed by God to have the opportunity to be a part of the amazing Pecan Grove Baptist Church family and the Richmond, TX community! gmurks@pgbc.org

Paul Faseler joined PGBC as their Youth Pastor in October of 2007 and is now Associate Pastor over Youth and Families. Paul graduated from Texas A&M in 2006 with a B.A. in Finance and from Southwestern Baptist Theological seminary in 2011 with his M.Div. Paul has been married to his wife, Deena, a teacher at PGBS. He and his wife also welcomed their son Cameron Kyle into the world in January of 2012 and Ellie Ryann in April of 2014. Paul loves being in the lives of students and ministering to their needs. His desire is to help them grow in love for God and their “neighbor,” and to help them understand what it means to walk with the Lord in their everyday lives. He also has a passion for inter-church ministry. For hobbies, Paul enjoys reading, watching movies, playing guitar, and texags.com. Finally, Paul loves the relationships he has built in Christ, here at Pecan Grove Baptist and in the community, and the wonderful ministry opportunity to which God has called him. pfaseler@pgbc.org

Kayse Knapp is our Children’s Minister at PGBC, where she and her family have been members since 2003. Serving as a Children’s Minister is a family tradition for Kayse, as her grandmother and aunt have both served in the role at other churches. Her heartbeat is that every child who comes to PGBC comes to know the Lord in a real, vibrant way. She is deeply grateful for her selfless team of volunteers who help make the Children’s Ministry at PGBC fulfill its mission, for her husband, RJ Knapp (PGBC Worship Pastor), who encourages her to follow the Lord’s leadership in faith and humility, and for her supportive and loving children, Bethanny, Suzanne, and Michael. kknapp@pgbc.org

Robert John (RJ) Knapp is our Worship Pastor at PGBC, having been here since December 2009. He graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Music in 2008 and from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2012 with a Master of Arts in Theology. He loves to hear the Lord’s church praise the name of Jesus, and is honored to lead her to do so. He also yearns for Christians to not simply love to sing to their Savior, but for them to follow Him closely, living a worshipful life. When believers live their lives in intimacy with their God, pouring over His Word, obeying His commandments, actively loving, serving, and changing the world in Christ’s name – when they live their lives worshipfully – then when they come together they’ll have something to worship about! And to that end, the more the merrier! He is both honored and humbled to partner in life with his wonderful wife, Kayse, in raising their wonderful children, Bethanny, and Suzanne, and Michael. rknapp@pgbc.org
