Greg Murks joined PGBC as Pastor in November of 2011. He is a native of Alabama and a graduate of the University of North Alabama (BA 1989) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDIV 1995). Before coming to PG, Greg served as a minister of students in Florida and as pastor in South Carolina and Alabama. Greg and his wife Anna were married in 1993 and have two children (Kathryn and Haylee). As a pastor, Greg has a deep passion for preaching and teaching God’s word and loving people. He desires to lead the people of Pecan Grove Baptist to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ by growing in their love for God, for others and for the world. Greg’s vision for PGBC can be summarized by this prayer found in Psalm 67:1-2, “May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face shine upon us, that Your ways may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations”. In addition to the more important pursuits listed above, Greg is an avid fan of history, sports in general, and the Alabama Crimson Tide specifically. During free moments he will most likely be found with his “girls,” meaning his wife, two daughters, and dog (Happy). His entire family considers themselves extremely blessed by God to have the opportunity to be a part of the amazing Pecan Grove Baptist Church family and the Richmond, TX community! gmurks@pgbc.org |

Paul Faseler joined PGBC as their Youth Pastor in October of 2007. Paul graduated from Texas A&M in 2006 with a B.A. in Finance and from Southwestern Baptist Theological seminary in 2011 with his M.Div. Paul has been married to his wife, Deena, a teacher at Elkins H.S., since July of 2008. Paul loves being in the lives of students and ministering to their needs. His desire is to help them grow in love for God and their “neighbor,” and to help them understand what it means to walk with the Lord in their everyday lives. He also has a passion for inter-church ministry. For hobbies, Paul enjoys reading (both academically and for fun), watching movies, playing guitar, and listening to music. Mostly though, Paul loves sports—whether to watch, talk, or play. He roots for the “good guys” (i.e. the Aggies, Texans, Astros, and Rockets). Finally, Paul loves the relationships he has built in Christ, here at Pecan Grove Baptist and in the community, and the wonderful ministry opportunity to which God has called him. pfaseler@pgbc.org |

Robert John (RJ) Knapp has been the Worship Director at PGBC since December, 2009. He graduated from Belmont University with a B.M. in 2008 and presently pursues a Master of Arts in Theology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He loves to hear the Lord’s church praise the name of Jesus, and is honored to lead her to do so. He also yearns for Christians to not simply love to sing to their Savior, but for them to follow Him closely, living a worshipful life. When believers live their lives in intimacy with their God, pouring over His Word, obeying His commandments, actively loving, serving, and changing the world in Christ’s name – when they live their lives worshipfully – then when they come together they’ll have something to worship about! And to that end, the more the merrier! He is both honored and humbled to partner in life with his wonderful wife, Kayse, whom he married in January, 2011. rknapp@pgbc.org |
